Ingredients for making powdered milk cake from a blender:
3 cups of wheat flour (420 grams)
2 cups of refined sugar
1½ cups of water (360 milliliters)
3 eggs
5 tablespoons of powdered milk
4 tablespoons of margarine or butter
1 tablespoon of vanilla essence (optional)
1 tablespoon of baking powder (Royal type)
How to make powdered milk cake from a blender:
Turn on the oven at 180ºC and blend the liquid and moist ingredients in a blender: eggs, water, margarine and vanilla essence. The mixture must be homogeneous, that is, with all the ingredients well mixed.
Tip: If you use free-range chicken eggs, the cake dough becomes more hopscotch!
Then add the dry ones (wheat flour, sugar and powdered milk) little by little, beating each time to mix well. If your blender doesn't have enough power mix the blender ingredients with the dry ones in a bowl.
Tip: Sift the wheat flour to avoid the lumps and get a fluffier cake batter!
Finally add the yeast and mix lightly with a spoon. Place the dough of this simple wheat and milk powder cake in a greased and floured pan and bake at 180ºC for 30-40 minutes or until golden and pass the toothpick test.
Tip: We recommend using a cake pan a little larger than the average (about 25 cm in diameter), as this dough yields a lot.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool a little to unmold. When the cake is cold you can cut it in half and add this wonderful Truffled Nest milk filling. Another option is to serve plain powdered milk cake sprinkled with icing sugar or sifted powdered milk.
